Anna Elizabeth Conway, 92, of Morganfield, died Saturday, October 18, 2003 in Louisville.

Mrs. Conway was born March 2, 1911 in Grove Center. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Morganfield and served as a primary Sunday school teacher for over 50 years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Lottie Moon Missionary Society. She was a longtime employee of the Union County Fiscal Court and worked with Judge Thomas Luckett for 12 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband John B. Conway in 1988.

Survivors include three sons, John Berry Conway Jr., of Lexington, Francis Thomas Conway of Louisville, and A.V. Conway of Beaver Dam; 11 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 20 at the First Baptist Church in Morganfield with Rev Steve Thompson officiating. Burial was in the Odd Fellow Cemetery in Morganfield.

Richard "Dick" L. Sale, 68, of Lutz, Florida, died Friday, October 17, 2003, at his home.

Mr. Sale was born Jan. 15, 1935 in Sturgis and moved to Lutz around 1970. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was owner of A State Farm Insurance Agency in Temple Terrace for 40 years.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann Sale; one daughter, Melanie and husband Mike Hagan of Philadelphia, Pa.; two sons, Kenneth A. and wife Carla Sale of Lutz, Fla., and Steven E. and wife Tuesday Sale of Land O'Lakes, Fla.; two stepchildren, Terri and Stephen Burgess; three brothers, Homer Sale of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., Carl A. Sale of Lexington, and Gordon Sale, of Paris, Ky.; four sisters, Elizabeth Fitzsimmons of Louisville, Pat Jones of Sturgis, Mary N. Richard of Glasgow, Ky., and Virginia Welch of Lancaster, Calif.; and six grandchildren, Heather, Chase, Amber, Shane, Kasey and Rachael.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 21 in Florida.

Dale Hollis, 40, of Sturgis, died at 6:15 a.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at Methodist Hospital Union County.

Mr. Hollis was preceded in death by his father George Hollis in 1975; and three brothers William in 1986, Shay in 1995 and Jerry in 1999.

Survivors include his wife Gail; his mother Lorene Newcom of Henderson; four daughters Cheryl, Tara, Brittany and Tiffany Hollis all of Sturgis; one son Derek Hollis of Sturgis; and four brothers Jimmy, Larry and Ronnie Hollis, all of Sturgis and Eugene Hollis of Somerset.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 16, at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis with Rev. John Baker officiating. Burial was in the Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis.

June B. Floyd, 66, of Henderson, died at 2:50 a.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at Methodist Hospital Henderson.

Mrs. Floyd was of the Methodist Faith.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years Emery "Joe" Floyd; four daughters, Debra Stone of Dixon, and Patty Floyd, Karen Floyd and Tammy Cohron, all of Henderson; three sons, Steven Floyd of Boxville and Timmy and Richard Floyd, both of Henderson; three sisters, Becky Travis and Ruth Ann Ross, both of Evansville, Ind., and Mary Murtz of Florida; two brothers, Jimmy and Donnie Croxton, both of Evansville; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 16 at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home with burial in the Old Cedar Grove Cemetery in Webster County.

John T. Corum, 61, of Henderson, died at 2:50 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at Methodist Hospital Henderson.

Mr. Corum was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Corvette Club of America and the Cushman Scooter Club of America.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years Elena; one daughter, L'Pree Ricketts of Sturgis; his mother, Jewell Williams of Madisonville; stepmother Laverne Corum of Providence; one sister Sharon Duncan of Nebo; one brother Donald Corum of Madisonville; and two grandchildren Raeley and Thomas Ricketts, both of Sturgis.

Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 17, at Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson with the Rev. Marty Owens officiating. A private family graveside service was held at Hickory Cemetery in Dugger, Ind.
